According to media reports, the Bears have agreed to terms with veteran free-agent offensive lineman Germain Ifedi.

Ifedi, 25, was selected by the Seahawks with the 31st pick in the first round of the 2016 draft out of Texas A&M. He started all 60 games he appeared in over the past four seasons, helping the Seahawks earn three playoff berths.

The 6-5, 325-pounder started 13 games at right guard as a rookie in 2016 before moving to right tackle in 2017. Over the past three seasons he has started 46 games at right tackle and one at right guard. The one at right guard came in the 2018 season finale when he replaced the injured D.J. Fluker.

Ifedi is the seventh player from another NFL team to reportedly join the Bears this offseason. They've signed tight end Jimmy Graham (Packers), cornerback Artie Burns (Steelers) and safety Jordan Lucas (Chiefs); reportedly agreed to terms with outside linebackers Robert Quinn (Cowboys) and Barkevious Mingo (Texans); and reportedly acquired quarterback Nick Foles in a trade with the Jaguars in exchange for a compensatory fourth-round draft pick.

Ifedi, Quinn, Mingo and Burns all entered the NFL as first-round draft picks, as did four other players Ryan Pace has acquired since he became Bears general manager in 2015: Quarterback Mark Sanchez, cornerback Prince Amukamara, outside linebacker Khalil Mack and safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.
