Marcus Mbow named among best value picks by ESPN, Sharp Football Analysis

Thepraise the Giants have receivedfor their 2025 draft haul goes well beyond their two first-round picks.

Yesterday, we highlighted fourth-round pick Cam Skattebo being named amongField Yates of ESPN's favorite picks.

Today we are focusing on fifth-round pick Marcus Mbow, who was named among the draft's best value picks by both ESPN and Sharp Football Analysis.

"Mbow was graded as a late Round 2 or early Round 3 player on my board," wroteESPN's Matt Miller, who selected Mbow as his best value pick in Round 5. "He's a talented developmental offensive lineman who has the athletic skills to shine in a zone-blocking scheme. He can be a starter if he adds power."

The 6-foot-4, 303-pound lineman allowed a total of four sacks in 32 starts across his last three seasons at Purdue, according to Pro Football Focus. Of those 32 starts, 18 came at right tackle and 14 were at right guard.

The young lineman was selected All-Big Ten honorable mention all three seasons he was a starter (2022-24), and also earned second-team Freshman All-American honors (2022).

When speaking to the media after being drafted last weekend, Mbow said he's been training at all five positions on the offensive line ahead of his first NFL training camp.

"He fires off the ball with explosiveness and delivers heavy hands at the point of attack, offering the Giants a versatile lineman capable of contributing at multiple spots inside," Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis wrote.

In addition to naming Mbow his No. 1 biggeststeal of the draft along the O-line, Sharp also tabbed the Giants' fifth-round pick as the No. 4biggest steal of the entire draft, regardless of position.

"He explodes off the ball and finishes blocks with strength and intensity, giving New York a versatile and powerful piece for the offensive line," Sharp added.
